faulty work quality and compliance with blueprint specifications
and Navy standards, using measuring tools: Inspects welded
joints for specified fusion.
Examines structural units to
determine that frames, plates, and foundations are assembled,
accroding to blueprint specifications. Examines installatoin of
machinery and gear, checking on alignment and operation. Checks
insatllation and operation of electrical wiring and equipment.
Examines piping and sheet metalwork. Supervises tests on tanks,
pipes, and bulkheads.
